Phi Delta Theta
Cornell University | New York Alpha | Founded 1872

Introducing our law firm

Who We Are

The New York Alpha Chapter of Phi Delta Theta proudly resides on North Campus at

2 Ridgewood Rd in "The Ship", a mansion built in 1922 by a Cornell-educated architect and brother of Phi Delta Theta, and modeled after a naval ship. Here, our brotherhood stands as a beacon of camaraderie and shared values. Pride is taken in the unique blend of personalities and talents that define our brotherhood, forging bonds that extend far beyond the surface of mere friendship. Much like The Ship itself, Phi Delta Theta provides a place where brotherhood transcends the ordinary and becomes a haven of comfort and familiarity.

A Word from the President

Phi Delta Theta is one of Cornell University's oldest and most continuous chapters of fraternity. Throughout the New York Alpha chapter's over 150 years of brotherhood, it continues to act as a symbol of our three cardinal principles: friendship, sound learning, and moral rectitude. â€‹

The chapter house is home to a collection of men characterized by endeavor, seeking to create legacies of leadership and friendship that extend beyond the Hill. Our communal mission of progress speaks to the most important aspect of our fraternity chapter: individualism.

Our home stands on the motto that "One Man Is No Man." To that effect, our chapter upholds a community where individuality is paramount; every brother is encouraged to become the best version of himself. On the strength of selfhood, Phidelt distinguishes itself, not as a place, but as a people.
